News from NIPT | A one-day Vatsaha Swasthya NSS camp

A one-day Vatsaha Swasthya NSS camp as part of the Fit India Week 2023 was celebrated by Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy on 16th December 2023 at Govt. Primary School Kalkatta, Manjanady. Mr M. Hussain, President, School Committee was the Chief Guest and Mr. Abdul Khadar, Member, Grama Panchayat, Manjanady was the Guest of Honour.

The event started with a formal function during which NIPT donated a bell and water purifier to the school. Refreshments were also served to all the students and staff. Following this, the IV BPT students carried out an assessment for different aspects of fitness, for students from Class 1 to 7.

The following tests were conducted to check their fitness and the students actively participated in all the activities:
Coordination (plate tapping test) | Static balance (flamingo balance test) |Core strength (partial curl ups) | Muscular endurance (push ups) | Flexibility (sit and reach) | Speed (50m Dash)

The event concluded with demonstration of various exercises to improve physical fitness.
