A one-day workshop, titled "Breaking the Barriers of Present-Day Challenges Faced by Institutions," was organised for the Principals of Pre-University Colleges in Udupi District, at Sambhram Auditorium, NMAMIT, Nitte on 27th November, 2023 in collaboration with the Dept. of Pre-University Education, GoK and Nitte University.
Shri Maruthi, Dy. Director, Dept. of PUE, Udupi presided over the function. Prof. (Dr.) Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT was the Guest of honor. Dr. Jnaneshwar Pai, Asst. Professor Dept. of Humanities, extended a warm welcome to the participants of the workshop.
Two exemplary achievers - Shri Manjunath Bhat, (State's Best Principal Awardee 2022-23) and Shri Uday Kumar, (State's Best Lecturer Awardee) were felicitated on the occasion.
Following the inaugural function, the workshop transitioned into two significant sessions. The first, led by Dr. M R Seetharam, a consultant orthopaedic surgeon from Vivekananda Memorial Hospital, Mysore, delved into the intricate challenges faced by education leaders in their engagements with stakeholders.
The second session by Prof. Shalini K Sharma, a distinguished practicing Mental Health Professional & Trainer from Manipal focussed on the pivotal aspect of building and nurturing a healthy relationship between teachers and students.
The program was convened by Mrs. Surakshitha, Lecturer in English, Dr. NSAM PU College, Nitte. The workshop served as a platform for Principals to engage in meaningful discussions and gain invaluable insights into contemporary challenges within educational leadership.
