News from KSHEMA | CME

As a part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of KSHEMA, a CME was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine on 27th January 2024 at K S Hegde Medical Academy.

All three invited speakers were alumni of KSHEMA.

• Dr Mahendra Kiritti (MBBS 1999 Batch), Taluk Health Officer, Koppa, Karnataka. 
• Dr Shachi Adyanthaya (MBBS 2001 Batch), Sr. Manager, Child Health & Development, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, New Delhi.
• Dr Pracheth R (MBBS 2004 Batch), Associate Professor, Dept. of Epidemiology, NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

   The resource persons spoke on “The role of social protection and SBCC in improving maternal nutrition”; “Mental health research for community health professionals - Opportunities and challenges” and “Role of health & wellness centers in the healthcare of community”.

The event ended with a Panel Discussion on “Health systems strengthening for tackling post-partum depression”. A total of 86 delegates attended the event.
