The Women’s Forum of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences celebrated the International Women's Day 2024 on 11th March 2024.
Dr. Shama, PG, OMR rendered the prayer song. Prof. (Dr) Amitha Ramesh, President, Women’s Forum welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest of honour, Prof. (Dr) Hema Mallya, Consultant OB&G.
Dr. Mallya in her talk, covered aspects of health and hygiene of women like menarchy, menopause, cervical and breast cancers. She spoke about the causes, effects, diagnosis and treatment plans of each. She also shed light on menstrual cups. It was an informative talk and was of great value to the faculty and students of the institution.
Prof. (Dr) Mithra Hegde, Vice-Principal presided over the function. Prof. (Dr) Darshana Devadiga, Secretary, Women’s Forum delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Anupama Prasad, Jt. Secretary, Women’s Forum compered the program.
Prof. Mithra Hegde presented a sapling, memento and certificate of appreciation to the resource person.
