The 3rd National Conference of Nitte Imaging Technology – NCNIT 2024 was held on 2nd & 3rd March 2024, in conjunction with the silver jubilee celebrations of KS Hegde Medical Academy. NCNIT 2024 was hosted by the Division of Medical Imaging Technology & Dept. of Radiology, KSHEMA in collaboration with the Indian Society of Radiographers & Technologists (ISRT) and Karnataka Allied & Healthcare Professionals Association (KAHPA).
Over 900+ delegates from 60+ institutions across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh participated in the conference. The 2-day conference had 40+ national and international speakers and resource persons.
Dr. Jaya Prakash Shetty, Vice Dean, KSHEMA was the chief guest and Mr. Vishal Hegde, Pro-Chancellor, NitteDU presided over the function. Commander Dr. Daniel K J, National Coordinator of ISRT, Prof. S Panneer Selvam, Adjunct Faculty of SRMC Chennai, Dr. U Raghuraj, HoD Radiodiagnosis, Mr Shashi Kumar Shetty, Co-ordinator Department of Medical Imaging Technology graced the occasion.
Several competitions were organized for the delegates. They included Poster presentations under UG & PG categories and Oral presentations under 5 different categories. Proffered papers were invited from faculty. Active participation among the delegates was seen throughout the event with around 100+ posters and oral presentations.
The program concluded with a valedictory function and prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions.
