The IEEE Bangalore Section organized its much-anticipated flagship event, the 2024 IEEE Bangalore Humanitarian Technology Conference, in collaboration with the IEEE Mangalore Subsection. The conference which was held at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, unfolded on 21st March 2024, embracing the theme of SDG14 – Life Below Water.
Dr. Chengappa M R, representing HP Enterprises & IEEE Bangalore Section, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his keynote address titled "Empowering Global Progress: Harnessing Technology for UN Sustainable Development Goals," Dr. Chengappa delineated the pivotal role of technology in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. His insightful discourse shed light on the transformative potential of technological innovation in addressing global challenges.
Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAM Institute of Technology presided over the function. Emphasizing the necessity of sustainable development in the contemporary landscape, Dr. Chiplunkar underscored the significance of integrating technological solutions with humanitarian endeavors.
Dr. Vasudeva, Chair of IEEE Mangalore Subsection welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr) Venugopala PS, Head, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science introduced the Chief Guest. Ms. Rashmi invoked the blessings of God through a prayer. Dr. Ashwini B, Co-chair of IEEE Mangalore Subsection delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Deepa was the master of ceremony.
