The Alumni Association of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, in collaboration with the Department of Community Health Nursing, hosted a seminar titled "Newer Trends in Management of Tuberculosis" on 26th March 2024, at Chintana Hall, Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital. The event commenced with an invocation, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Suchithra BS, Alumni Secretary. Dr. Neetha Kamath, HoD, Community Health Nursing, delivered the keynote speech.
Mr. Sujith Kuriakose, Grade-1 Nursing Officer at the District Headquarters Hospital, Kannur provided a comprehensive presentation on Tuberculosis, covering new diagnostic methods, management and prevention strategies. He also highlighted the TB elimination program and its initiatives. The session was highly interactive. A total of 110 students & 5 faculty members attended the program.
