News from NSAM PUC, Mangalore | Alumni day

“Participating in various social activities enhances personality development, and an Alumni Association can be an ideal platform for this growth. Alumni can maintain a lasting connection with their alma mater by organizing social, cultural, sports and intellectual events. They are vital to the growth of any institution and are its true assets. Alumni serve as ambassadors of the institution" remarked Dr. Kishore Kumar CK, President, Physical Education Department, Mangalore University, during his address as the chief guest at the inauguration of the alumni association activities of Dr. NSAM Pre-University College, Mangaluru held on 4th August 2024.

Tulu theater & film artist Mr. Aravind Bolar, attending as guest of honor, likened an educational institution to a temple, stating, "Serving one's alma mater as an alumnus is a noble act. The goddess of knowledge blesses us in many ways, and she has blessed me as an artist. The contributions of alumni are as valuable as gold," he said, inspiring the audience.

Presiding over the event, Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K emphasized, "The relationship with an institution does not end upon graduation… it is ongoing. The alumni association allows us to contribute to the institution's progress and shape the future of many young students." Ms. Veena, Alumni Coordinator, Dr. NSAM PU College outlined the vision and future plans of the Alumni Association. The newly elected committee members were then assigned responsibilities for the academic year. Mr. Prasanna Kailaje, Director (Alumni Relations), Nitte DU, provided information about the Nitte Alumni Portal, which connects alumni from across the Nitte group.




The program began with a prayer by Ms. Anisha, followed by a welcome address by Mr. Vijesh Nayak. The guests were introduced by Ms. Meera Crasta and Ms. Shruti. Vinod Kumar gave the vote of thanks, and the event was hosted by Ms. Praneetha. The event was well-attended, with all staff members and over 200 alumni were present.
