The Department of Medical Surgical Nursing of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a 3-day workshop on Cardiovent from 8th to 10th August 2024 at Vimshathi Bhavan, ABSMIDS.
The workshop opened with an invocation rendered by IV BSc Nursing students. Dr. Latha S, HoD, Medical Surgical Nursing warmly welcomed the chief guest & resource person, Ms. Maria Sharon, Head - Key Projects, ISDC Healthcare Academy and the dignitaries.
Prof. Fatima Dsilva, Principal, NUINS, delivered the presidential address. She emphasized the value of clinical nurses' knowledge and abilities in reading the ECG and gave examples of how a nurse's assertiveness in making judgments can save lives.
Ms. Tincy Thomas, Lecturer, NUINS delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Vicky Priya, II MSc Nursing compered the program. Ms Maria Sharon extensively deliberated on ECG & its interpretations and identification of variations in the ECG. She also demonstrated the ventilator settings and monitoring over the 3 days of training.
