News from NMAMIT | Workshop on Digital Discovery

The NSS-IT Wing of NMAMIT organized a workshop titled ‘Digital Discovery’ for the students of Govt High School, Kalya, on 8th November 2024 as part of its ongoing mission to promote digital literacy and foster meaningful community engagement.

Ms. Niyatha introduced the workshop and emphasized the NSS IT Wing’s commitment to enhancing digital literacy in underserved areas. The core session of the workshop featured a technical presentation led by Mr. Aryan Shenoy and Ms. Vasavi Joshi, who expertly covered essential computer concepts. They explained the role of input and output devices as key interfaces between users and machines and delved into the workings of the CPU, often referred to as the "brain" of the computer, highlighting its integral components. To add an interactive element, Ms. Shraddha and Ms. Disha conducted a Quiz at the end of the session.

Mr. Subashchandra Shettigar, Headmaster, Govt High School, Kalya and Mr. Ram Moger, Faculty of Mathematics played a crucial role in making this event possible. Dr. Shashank Shetty, Dr. Puneeth R P, Mr. Guruprasad Nayak and Ms. Ankitha A Nayak were the faculty Coordinators of the event from NMAMIT. The student volunteers included Ms. Shreya, Mr. Keshav, Mr. Aryan, Mr. Anup, Ms. Harshitha, Ms. Akshatha, Ms. Disha, Ms. Vasavi, Ms. Adaline, Ms. Niyatha and Ms. Shraddha.
