News from ABSMIDS | INTER-NITTE THROWBALL TOURNAMENT 2025

The Department of Physical Education, ABSMIDS successfully organized the Inter-Nitte Throwball Tournament for Women (Students & Staff) on 7th February 2025. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Murali Krishna V, Sports Advisor, Nitte University and presided over by Prof. (Dr) M S Ravi, Vice-Principal and HoD, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics.

STUDENT CATEGORY
A total of 9 student teams from the constituent colleges of the University participated in the tournament.

NMAM Institute of Technology, were declared Champions of the Tournament and KS Hegde Medical Academy, were the Runners Up.

Best Receiver: Tanisha Rai (NMAMIT)
Best All-rounder: Shanvi Shetty (NMAMIT)
Best Thrower: Sinchana

The tournament concluded with a closing ceremony conducted by Dr. Adarsh from the Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine, K S Hegde Hospital. The event was a grand success, fostering sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition among students and staff.
