News from ABSMIDS | Progressive Pathways - Navigating the Future of Dental Research

As part of the 40-year celebration of excellence at A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (ABSMIDS), the Innovate and Explore Research Club along with the Publish, Share, Inspire Publication Club organized a special lecture titled "Progressive Pathways: Navigating the Future of Dental Research" on 24th May 2025 at Thrimshathi Bhavan, ABSMIDS. The event aimed to inspire and guide students & faculty towards meaningful research contributions in the field of dentistry.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. (Dr) Praveen Shetty, Director (R&D), Nitte DU, who shared valuable insights into emerging trends, future directions and innovations in dental research, while emphasizing the importance of critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration and ethical publication practices. The session was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Mithra N. Hegde, Principal, ABSMIDS, who highlighted the institute’s continued commitment to fostering a strong research culture. The event served as a motivating platform for budding researchers and academicians to envision and contribute to the future of dental science.
