News from NIA | NIA Joins Hands for a Cleaner Tannirbavi Beach

The NSS Unit of Nitte Institute of Architecture, in collaboration with Young Indians Mangalore and the Rotaract Club, Nitte DU, organized a Beach Cleaning Drive at Tannirbavi Beach on 18th January 2025. Guided by Mr. Dhruvin & Team, along with Rotary Club members Rtn J P Rao, Rtn Kunal and Rtn Ann Kunal, the event aimed to raise awareness about marine pollution and sustainability. Around 65 students actively participated, collecting plastic and other non-biodegradable waste. The event included an insightful briefing, hands-on clean up, and engaging interactions with Rotary members. The drive fostered environmental responsibility and community collaboration, making the beach cleaner and enriching the experience for all.
