Semester - 8 Urban Housing students at NIA embarked on a one-day site visit on 11th January 2025 to understand high-density housing typologies in Mangalore as part of their academic exploration. The visit included a completed residential project and a site under construction, providing students with real-time insights into spatial scales, unit quality, construction technologies and building services.
Guided and arranged by NIA faculty Ar. Nikita Makhasana and Ar. Ashwini Mani, students interacted with the building manager, developer and architect, gaining valuable professional perspectives on project execution and management. This hands-on learning experience helped bridge the gap between classroom theories and practical applications, equipping students with essential industry knowledge.
