A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in collaboration with the NSS unit ABSMIDS celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 on 20th June 2025 at Avishkar Auditorium. Yogarathna Sri. Gopalakrishna Delampady of Delampady Yoga Prathistana, Mangaluru was the Chief Guest for the event. The Yoga Club, ABSMIDS was inaugurated on the occasion by the chief guest.
The program commenced with a prayer by Mr. Mohammed Minhaz followed by the lamp lighting by the dignitaries. Prof (Dr.) Mithra N Hegde, Principal presided over the function. Prof (Dr) Ravi MS, Vice Principal addressed the gathering. Dr. Kumuda Rao, NSS Program Officer welcomed the gathering and compered the program.
Yogaratna Sri Delampady spoke on the importance of yoga in daily life. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Kumuda Rao. 1st BDS students were given a yoga session as part of the International Yoga Day. The program was concluded with National Anthem.
