The program began with a welcome address by Principal, Prof. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar K U, who introduced the Kollur Mookambika Temple authorities to the students and shared the vision and purpose of the initiative. The event was graced by dignitaries of of Kollur Mookambika Temple Trust - Mr. Babu Shetty (President), Mr. Prashanth Shetty (Executive Officer) and Dr. Abhilash (Member) . Shri Subramanya Adiga (Priest), Shri Vishnu Murthy Udupa (Priest) Kollur Mookambika temple, Shri Shivaramakrishna Bhat, Representative, Panchayat Office, Kollur were also present.
Mr. Babu Shetty congratulated NIPT for organizing an impactful event and assured full support from the temple authorities. He emphasized the importance of keeping the Souparnika river clean and encouraged planting of saplings. Dr. Abhilash commended the initiative of NIPT and extended best wishes to the entire team. Shri Subramanya Adiga offered his blessings and well wishes to all participants and organizers.
Program activities included:
Cleaning of the temple & parking premises by removing plastic wastes, cleaning of the Souparnika River focusing on the removal of fabric wastes, white washing of walls at the Souparnika River Snana Ghatta and planting of saplings along the riverbank.
A total of 110 students and 3 faculty members Dr. Purusotham, Mr. Jayesh, Mr. Pushparaj actively participated along with Dr. Dhanesh Kumar K U and Mr. Rakesh Krishna Kovela, Organiser of the event.
