News from NUCSER | NSS SPECIAL CAMP

A NSS Special Camp was conducted by NUCSER from 17th to 21st November 2025 at Anandashrama Govt. High School, Kotekar. Quiz, Science Model Making events and competitions like craft, drawing, Rangoli, flower arrangement & folk singing were conducted for about 165 children from Class 8 to 10, to nurture their artistic talent. Over 20 student volunteers from NUCSER actively conducted various sessions on basic life skills, along with several cultural programs that engaged and inspired the school students throughout the camp.

Chief guest of the valedictory function, Mr. Mathadi, Chief Officer, Town Municipal Corporation, spoke on the value of personality development for the youth. Dr. Rama Adiga, NSS Program Officer, NUCSER, welcomed the gathering and Principal Mr. Gurumurthy presided over the event.

As part of the environmental initiatives of the University and to make the camp even more memorable, hibiscus saplings were planted within the school campus by faculty and student volunteers of NUCSER.
