Nitte Institute of Communication (NICO) organized a workshop on “Video Editing and Storytelling on DaVinci Resolve” on 6th March 2026 at the NICO campus. The session was conducted by Mr. Shaahid Badar, an alumnus from the BA Media & Communication (Batch of 2021) and a freelance video editor and social media influencer. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of professional video editing and the importance of storytelling in visual media.
Mr. Shaahid shared insights from his industry experience and demonstrated how DaVinci Resolve can be effectively used for editing, color correction and creating engaging visual narratives.
During the session, students learned about editing workflows, transitions, pacing and techniques that enhance storytelling in digital content. The interactive workshop allowed students to ask questions and understand practical aspects of video production.
The session gave students valuable exposure to industry practices and motivated them to explore creative possibilities in video editing and digital storytelling.
