The Student Innovation Club of NGSMIPS organized “Pharma Ideathon 2026”, an innovation-driven event, on 14th March 2026 at the college premises. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Tejaswini Ashish Kalkundri, Founding Director & CEO, OncoPhytogenics Pvt Ltd, who highlighted the importance of innovation, translational research and entrepreneurial thinking in the pharmaceutical field.
The Ideathon aimed to provide a platform for pharmacy students to present innovative solutions to real-world healthcare & pharmaceutical challenges. Participants presented creative ideas across various themes including innovations in drug delivery systems, artificial intelligence in pharmacy, affordable healthcare solutions, green pharmacy, pharmacovigilance innovations, biotechnology and personalized medicine. Student teams presented their innovative concepts through structured presentations highlighting the problem statement, existing gaps, proposed solutions, scientific concepts, advantages and potential impact of their ideas. The presentations were followed by interactive discussions and questions from the judges & audience, encouraging critical thinking and practical problem-solving.
