News from MRSMEMHS | Independence Day

Dr. MRSM School celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15.08.2026 with enthusiasm, honouring the nation’s glorious journey to freedom.

Chief guest Mr. Chandrasekara V Totad, Boat Captain, Coastal Security Police, Mangalore hoisted the national flag and this was followed by the National Anthem sung with pride by the students. Mr. Totad reminded the students of the immense struggles endured by freedom fighters to secure India’s independence. He urged the young generation to safeguard this hard-earned liberty by pursuing their professions with sincerity & dedication, restoring greenery, protecting the environment, fostering harmony and healthy relationship within society.

Mr. Pushparaj Chouta, President of the PTA, emphasized the importance of respecting India’s rich traditions and its contributions to the world. Principal, Ms. Shreelatha Rao congratulated the students for their vibrant performances and reminded them of their responsibilities as citizens, stressing the importance of civic awareness and discipline.

The cultural program added grandeur to the occasion. The students’ soulful rendition of “Tera Himalaya Akash Chhoo Le” echoed across the campus. They also narrated the significance of Independence Day, making the celebration both meaningful and memorable. On the occasion the renovated play-ground for kindergarten students was inaugurated by Mr. Chandrasekara Totad along with the President of the PTA Mr. Pushparaja Chouta and the Principal. Certificates were distributed to the students who cleared Tritiya Sopana Exams of Bharath Scouts and Guides.
