News from MRSMEMHS | Two‑Day Capacity Building Training on STEM Education in Teaching and Learning

The two‑day Capacity Building Training on STEM Education in Teaching and Learning was conducted on 20th & 21st August 2026 at Dr MRSM English Medium High School, Thokur to enhance teachers’ understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) pedagogy, equipping them with innovative strategies to integrate STEM concepts into classroom teaching.

The training was delivered by distinguished resource persons - Ms. Sheela Bala Murali, Principal, DPS School, MRPL, Mangalore, delivered insightful sessions on effective STEM methodologies and the importance of fostering inquiry‑based learning among students. Ms. Srilatha Alva, Principal, Manipal School, Mangalore, emphasized the role of interdisciplinary approaches in STEM education, highlighting practical techniques to make learning more engaging and application‑oriented.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from educators representing several institutions, including Anandathirth Vidyalaya, Pajaka; Al‑Furkan English Medium School, Moodabidri; Vidyadayinee English Medium School, Surathkal; SDM School, Mangalore and SDM School, Ujire. The sessions combined lectures, demonstrations and interactive discussions, enabling teachers to explore innovative classroom practices and reflect on their teaching methodologies.
