A significant milestone in strengthening academic and industry relations between NMAM Institute of Technology and Japan was marked by a meeting involving Prof. Harikrishna Bhat, Director, International Collaborations, Nitte University with the Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru, Mr. Nawata Hiroshi and the top management of Shibuya Corporation, Japan on 3rd September 2026. This was followed by a dinner hosted by the Consul General of Japan. The Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru is also expected to visit the campus shortly to inaugurate the new facilities.
Prof. Harikrishna Bhat was recently felicitated by the NITK Surathkal Alumni Association on the 67th Foundation Day for pioneering Indo-Japanese academic and industrial collaborations, executive leadership in global technology organizations and contributions to international higher education.
