The Youth Red Cross Unit of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS) organised a Fire and Safety Training Program on 18th September 2026 at the NUINS Learning Centre. Mr V. Prashanth Kamath, Fire Safety Officer, Nitte (Deemed to be University), served as the resource person. Prof. (Dr) Sujatha R, Vice Principal, NUINS, delivered the presidential address.
The session included a pre-test, an interactive talk on fire hazards, prevention, emergency response & evacuation procedures and a practical demonstration of firefighting equipment. The program enhanced participants' knowledge, awareness and preparedness for fire emergencies.
