The NSS unit of DR. N.S..A.M. First Grade College organized a seven day special camp in the village, Byatha from 21st December 2015 to 27th December 2015. 45 students – volunteers participated in the camp. The unit performed many activities and conducted some awareness programs.
The camp commenced with a formal inaugural by the Principal, Dr. Meera Krishnappa and the Panchayat Heads of the village – Mr. Ramesh and Mr. Suresh. The camp had Yoga sessions on a regular basis along with Shramadan in the village. Other programmes that were conducted were: Tree Plantation, Eye Camp, Dental Camp, Guest Lectures and Cultural programmes
The seven day special camp helped the participants to understand and appreciate rural life and develop values of discipline, social service and dignity of labour.
