The Inauguration of the Students’ Council for the year 2016-2017 was held on the 2nd of November 2016 at Kshema Auditorium, along with the Felicitation of Meritorious Students and Dandiya Nights. The inauguration was held in the evening, with Dr.Sanjeev M Patil, Commissioner of Mangalore Police to grace the occasion as chief guest.
The function was opened by the lighting of the lamp and a prayer dance. Prof. (Dr.) U. S Krishna Nayak delivered the Welcome Address. The Outgoing President, Mr. Arjun Kini gave his final address. The incoming council was sworn in by Prof.(Dr.)Priyadarshini Hegde, and the Rudras displayed their batch video and introduced each member.
The incoming president, Mr. Trishul Alva, gave his first address, followed by an inspiring and encouraging speech by the chief guest.
