The faculty and 2nd year Post Graduate students of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS), Nitte University organized one day Continuing Nursing education program on “Nursing Skill competencies” on 13th January 2017 at seminar hall, K S Hegde Hospital, Mangalore. Major (Dr) Shivkumar Heremath, Medical Superintendent and Chief Guest of the CNE program, addressed the gathering and emphasized in his key note address, the need to have up-to-date knowledge on advanced technology in health care industry to provide quality patient care by nurses. Prof Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, NUINS, presided over the function. Prof. Phelomena Fernandes, Dr Neetha Kamath, Staff Co-ordinator and Mrs Sherly Luckose, Nursing superintendent were present during the program. Ms Halita welcomed the gathering. The program was compered by Ms Sheethal and the program concluded with Vote of thanks by Ms Timy Thomas, Organizing secretary of the program.
