Independence day was celebrated by the staffs and students of Nitte Campus with great enthusiasm and respect at BC Alva Sports Complex on 15th of August at 9 AM. Air.Commodore Sunil Krishna Pai who is now Asst.Director for Estate Management, Principal Of NMAMIT Dr.Niranjan N Chiplunkar and Registrar of the Campus Prof.Yogeesh Hegde were escorted by the school band. The Principal of NMAMIT Dr.Niranjan N Chiplunkar welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag. The Chief Guest of the function Air.Commodore Sunil Krishna Pai, said “Its a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace, and unity in diversity. We should always remember the sacrifice of freedom fighters.” Arvind Kumar, NCC Officer and Kannada Lecturer at Nitte PU College delivered Vote of thanks. The Programme concluded up with the National Anthem.
