A guest lecture on “SCIENCE AND SPIRITUALITY” was organised on 16th August, 2019 in the college auditorium for the 1st year B.Pharm students.
Swami Nama Nishtha Das, Manager, ISKCON, Mangaluru was the resource person. Mr. Shrinivas Hebbar, Asst. Professor, Dept of Pharmaceutics started the session by introducing Swamiji.
Addressing the students, Swamiji said - When science fails to answer our questions, spirituality comes to our rescue. Science and spirituality are not contradictory but are complementary to each other. While science deals with the quest for discovering what is measurable - matter; Spirituality is the quest for discovering and understanding the immeasurable - consciousness. How can science therefore be antagonistic to spirituality, Swamiji asked.
The students were quite impressed by the simple way in which Swamiji unravelled profound ideas of spirituality and the amazing power of science.
The lecture session was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sushmitha, Asst.Prof, Dept. of Pharmaceutics.
