Visit of NUCSER students to the Anatomy & Pathology Museum, Manipal - NUCSER

As a part of the teaching-learning process, a study trip was organized for the first-year
students of B.Sc. (Hons) Biomedical Science at NUCSER to the Anatomy and Pathology Museum of Manipal on 19th September 2019. The Museum houses well-preserved specimens of the human organs from head to toe. A section on comparative anatomy houses the skeletons of various animals, and carefully crafted models and charts augment the learning experience. The Pathology Museum, which displays diseased body parts and organs, has a popular section on life-style related diseases, and their impact on the human body.

The Basics of Human Anatomy and Physiology is a core course for the first year biomedical students. The visit to the museum was arranged to facilitate the students to have clear idea of the anatomical features of human beings and also to gain knowledge on the changes that happen to the organs during diseased conditions. Dr Deekshit and Dr Juliet, faculty members of NUCSER, accompanied the students. The transportation was provided by the University.
