A webinar on ‘Scientific Trends & Integrated Approach on Knee Joint in Women’ was conducted by Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy on 27th October 2020 in academic collaboration with Manipal University and University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines.

The welcome address was delivered by Prof. (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, NIPT. Prof. (Dr) Cheryl R Peralta, Vice Rector, University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines delivered the inaugural address emphasizing on the importance of an integrated approach on musculoskeletal issues affecting general health in women.

Dr. Yogeesh D Kamat, Consultant Hip & Knee Surgeon, KMC Hospital, Mangalore, Adjunct Faculty, Manipal University enlightened the participants on early recognition of osteoarthritis and prevention of its progress to severe stage.

Dr. Donald Manlapaz, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physical Therapy, University of Santo Tomas delivered a talk on ‘Anterior Cruciate Ligament & Osteoarthritis - A Physiotherapy perspective’. The webinar was followed by Q&A session, with maximum queries from participants working as healthcare professionals.
