News from NIA | The 'Nobody Left Behind’

The 'Nobody Left Behind’ (NLB) initiative by Nitte Institute of Architecture was inaugurated on 11th October 2021. While NIA provides for a conducive learning environment in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops and fieldwork, it seeks to provide an additional support system that is based on its foundational principle, where nobody gets left behind. This new support system provides intensive coaching to deserving students for coursework every week. It will be specially handled by a dedicated set of tutors. Progress will be monitored so that any additional support can be provided whenever necessary. This initiative will help students shine in academics and will also foster independent thinking, critical reasoning and self-confidence.

The inaugural program began with a prayer and the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. PS Prakash, Dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Prof. Vinod Aranha, Director of NIA, Ar. Arul Paul, Academic & Curricular Coordinator of NIA, Ar. Nancy Colleen, Coordinator of the NLB program and the tutors of NLB - Ar. Kavyashree, Ar. Shrivalli Attavar and Ar. Sushan Hegde.

After a welcome note by Prof. Vinod Aranha, a brief of the program was given by Ar. Nancy Colleen followed by blessings and words of advice by the Chief Guest Dr. PS Prakash.
