The Fresher’s day celebration and inauguration of the Student Council 2024-25 was held on 6th September 2024 at KS Hegde Auditorium. The program, “AAGMAN - where the fresh minds meets infinite dreams”, started with a welcome dance.
Dr. K Ishwar Bhat welcomed the gathering. The new student council was announced and the badges were handed over to the council members. The outgoing president, Mr Abdul Fairoz Ahamed spoke about his experience as the President and conveyed his best wishes to the new President, Ms Shailashree Aithal and her council members. Ms. Aithal expressed her gratitude for the opportunity given and promised to fulfil her duties with utmost dedication. The chief guest for the event was Shri. Raju Mogaveer (K.A.S) Registrar Mangalore University addressed the gathering.
Principal, Dr C S Shastry spoke about the responsibility of the new council and encouraged the freshers to take part in co-curricular activities. The formal function concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Prashant Nayak.
The informal function began soon after a break, with a beautiful performance of Yakshagana, and series of energetic dances and melodious songs. After a fun ramp walk by the first years, Mr. Loyal Liston and Ms. Krisha were announced as Mr. and Ms. Fresher.
