News from NUINS | Children’s day celebration

The Department of Child Health Nursing, NUINS organized Children’s day celebration on 13th November 2020 at De Mercede Orphanage, Paneer. The program was structured by Ms. Jeevitha Alva and Ms. Harsha Thomas under the guidance of the HoD, Prof. Sujatha. R.

The GNM students enacted a small skit which helped the children enhance their knowledge on the preventive and safety measures to be followed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The performance highlighted the importance of regular hand washing, the use of mask and adequate consumption of hot water. The children enjoyed the program and showcased their talents through dancing and singing performances.

A contribution in the form of clothes, cutleries, and a cheque for Rs.4500 was handed over to the Correspondent, Sr. Luciana. The authorities of the orphanage expressed their sincere thanks to the college for this kind and loving gesture.
