News from Dr. NSAM PU, Mangaluru | Inaugural of Red Cross Unit

The inaugural function of Red Cross Unit was held on 9th April 2021 at the College Auditorium. Mrs. Meena Malani, a Life member of Red Cross Unit took part as resource person. She explained the Red Cross Mission & Vision and fundamental principles of the Red Cross Unit to the students. They were also trained in first aid procedures.

Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K presided over the function. Addressing the gathering, he said “First Aid is the care one applies immediately after an accident or sudden illness. This care and attention prior to the arrival of the ambulance can make a lot of difference in saving the lives of people or help in their speedy recovery.   Students should be enthusiastic, alert and receptive to the training.”

The program was coordinated by Ms. Meera Crasta and Ms. Manaswi, Lecturers in Chemistry. All the first year students and staff attended the program.
