The Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell in association with the Interns Academic Club of ABSMIDS organized a Professional Development Program on 12th October 2023 by Mr. Avelo Roy, motivational speaker & Managing Director of Kolkata Ventures at Thrimshati Bhavan, ABSMIDS for Interns, I BDS & I MDS students. The Principal & Dean, Prof. (Dr) US Krishna Nayak presided over the function and stressed on the importance of being a high performer in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Gopinath Thilak, Program Coordinator of Interns Academic Club welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. Prof. (Dr) Darshana Devadiga, Member Secretary of Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Shivika Duggal was the master of ceremony and Ms. Pavithra Nair rendered the invocation prayer.
Mr. Avelo Roy mentioned the difference between ordinary life & extraordinary life, importance of decision-making, how bold actions make an impact and stressed on using ‘currency of relationship’ as a tool to communicate with people, also emphasising on the power of meditation, daily goal checklist, multi-tasking skills and how small actions in the right direction leads to greater results in the near future.
The program was attended by 160 Interns, I BDS & I MDS students and 12 faculty members.
