The Nanomaterials & Energy Devices Research Laboratory established by the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT, was inaugurated on 27th October 2023 by Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal in the presence of Dr. Nayaka GP, Scientist, NCL Pune; Dr. IR Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean (Academics); Dr. Shrinivasa Rao BR, Vice Principal & Controller of Examinations; Dr. Srinivasa Pai P, HoD, Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Santhosh G, Lab in-charge .
The Laboratory is equipped with a Biologic SP50e electrochemical workstation, which can be used to study the behaviour of various energy storage device applications such as batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells and solar cells. The instrument can also be used to study various sensor applications used in various fields.
