The Nitte - Special Child Care Centre (N-SPECC), AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, conducted a program with the theme “Welfare of Children with Special Healthcare Needs” at the Government Hospital, Moodbidri on 23rd August 2024 for 42 participants including Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers of Moodbidri Taluk, Community Health Officers and Primary Healthcare Officers of the Government Hospital, Moodbidri,. Prof (Dr) Nitha Poonja delivered a comprehensive talk on essential investigative procedures for expectant mothers. Prof (Dr) Amarshree Shetty spoke on oral health care for expectant mothers, discussing the optimal timing for dental check-ups and the appropriate dental treatments during pregnancy. Dr. Prerana Hegde highlighted the critical role of proper diet and nutrition during pregnancy.
