“Donating blood without expecting anything in return is incredibly valuable. The knowledge that our donation could save a life is truly special. Blood collected from donors at blood donation camps is given to those in need during critical moments. When a healthy person donates blood regularly and it saves the life of a stranger, it is one of the greatest blessings. The blood collected in these camps often becomes a lifeline for the recipients who rely on it”, said Dr. Pallavi, Medical officer, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy who was the Chief guest at the blood donation camp held at Nitte Dr. NSAM PU College organized jointly by the college`s Alumni Association, NSS unit of KSHEMA and the Lions Club, Ashoknagar on 4th August 2024.
Presiding over the event, Dr. Naveen Shetty K, Principal said, "Blood donation camps provide us with wonderful opportunities to support the lives of others without any loss to ourselves. By donating blood, individuals can support many lives."
Ms. Sparsha Rai and Ms. Anisha led the prayer; Ms. Nihira gave the welcome address; Ms. Adithi Shetty proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Praneetha conducted the event.
