Ms. Nisha Lakshmi, a PhD scholar of NUCSER, who was selected for the prestigious SERB Overseas Doctoral Fellowship (SERB OVDF) is leaving for the University of Alberta, Canada to conduct part of her doctoral research work. During her stint at Canada, she will work on unravelling the complex interactions between pathogenic Vibrio parahaemolyticus and the host immune system, specifically on how it influences immune-signaling pathways that regulate the proliferation and differentiation of intestinal stem cells (ISC).
Her guide Dr. Krishna Kumar B, Dr Deekshit & Dr Praveen, Doctoral Committee members along with the Director of the Institute wished Nisha Lakshmi the very best for her research abroad.
