The Alumni Reunion of NMAMIT and Silver Reunion of the batch of 1995 was organised by ‘WENAMITAA’, the NMAMIT Alumni Association at Sambhram Auditorium, NMAMIT on 28th December 2024.The program was inaugurated by Shri N. Vinaya Hegde, President, Nitte Education Trust & Chancellor of Nitte University, who addressed the gathering and reminisced about the institution's growth over the years.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Gopal Mugeraya, Vice President (Technical Education) expressed his hope for more such programs in the future, emphasizing their role in strengthening alumni relations. Shri. Mulky Jeevan K. Shetty, President, WENAMITAA expressed the Alumni Association's commitment to support the current students in their academic and career pursuits.
A special honor was conferred to Dr. SY Kulkarni for his contributions, along with a heartfelt felicitation to NMAMIT faculty and staff who had completed 25 years of service / retired from service. The honorees included Prof. Shalini K. Sharma, Dr. Udaya Kumar, Prof. Venugopal, Prof. Vasudev Shettigar, Dr. Diwakar Bhat, Mr. Dombayya Poojary, Ms. Suneetha Shetty and Mr. John D’Souza.
Mr. Avinash Krishna Kumar, Vice President, WENAMITAA, welcomed the alumni and dignitaries. Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, delivered the introductory remarks, emphasizing the significance of alumni in the institution’s journey. Mr. Sharath Salian, Joint Secretary, WENAMITAA, was also present. Alumni from various batches shared their experiences, including Mr. Mahesha Nidugala (1995 batch) and Mr. Srivatsa Prabhakar (1994 batch), highlighting their cherished memories of NMAMIT.
The event was anchored by Ms. Harshitha, Treasurer, WENAMITAA. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Ranjith Bhat, Secretary, Alumni Association.
