The 4th edition of the value-added course on scientific communication skills organized by NUCSER was inaugurated on 20th February 2025. The chief guest, Prof. (Dr) Praveen Kumar Shetty, Director (R&D), Nitte DU reiterated the need for courses to develop scientific communication skills among young researchers.
In his presidential remarks, Dr. Biswajit Maiti, HoD, Bio-Nanotechnology, NUCSER apprised the participants on the significance of such a course that strengthens quality education. The course module comprises 16 contact hours and assignments that will be covered over a period of 4 months. The course will include topics introducing types of scientific communication, life cycle of a publication, publication ethics and scientific writing skills, including verbal, written and non-linguistic communication skills of pictorial and graphical representations.
Prof. (Dr) Praveen Kumar Shetty; Prof. (Dr) Anirban Chakraborty, Dr. Biswajit Maiti, Dr. Gunimala Chakraborty, Dr. Sudarshan Kini, Dr. Anurag Sharma, Dr. Akshath Uchangi & Dr. Juliet Mohan Raj, faculty of NUCSER along with Dr. Nesara Kadanakuppe & Dr. Pranamya Bhat from NICO, are the resource persons for this value-added course.
