The Gender Sensitisation Cell of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2025. The theme "Accelerate Action," emphasized proactive steps toward gender equality and women's empowerment.
The program commenced with a prayer led by Ms Ranjitha, Lab Demonstrator, followed by a welcome address by Prof. (Dr) Marina Koland, Principal, NGSMIPS. Dr. Marina emphasized the importance of International Women’s Day and introduced the distinguished guests to the audience.
Chief guest, Ms. Geetha Kulkarni, ACP, Cybercrime Control Bureau, Mangalore City delivered an insightful address on influential women personalities in India, while also raising awareness about cybercrime and digital safety. Guest of Honor, Dr. Rekha Bhandarkar, Dy. Registrar, Nitte spoke about the role of women in society, discussing the challenges they face, opportunities available and the importance of education & empowerment.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Anusha, Lab Attendant. The program was anchored by Dr. Ashwini M, Asst. Professor, Pharmaceutics under the guidance of Dr. Sneh Priya, Coordinator, Gender Sensitisation Committee, NGSMIPS.
