Pitstop Series 3, a unique event, co-hosted by NITTE-GOK COE | AQUAMARIN and Section Infin8 Foundation, was held on 14th June 2025 at the premises of Section Infin8, Mangalore. The event was focused on start-ups to nurture early-stage innovations across edtech, the blue economy and sustainable development. The event brought together founders, students, mentors and investors for an evening of deep engagement, knowledge sharing and ecosystem building. Structured around high-impact mentoring and real-time feedback, the series featured sessions on go-to-market strategies, funding access and institutional support.
Prof. (Dr) Anirban Chakraborty, Director, NUCSER and CEO of NITTE-GOK CoE | AQUAMARIN, delivered a talk on translating research and development into business value, focusing on marine biotechnology, patenting strategies, startup opportunities in the aquamarine sector and incubation of early-stage ventures.
Dr. Shivakiran Makam, Director, Strategy & Collaborations at Section Infin8 Foundation, led a session demystifying funding pathways - covering grants, CSR avenues and venture debt.
Artrai Innovations Pvt. Ltd., founded by Arjun K Punja, Tushar S Rai and Eshwar, unveiled a solar-powered hygienic fish processing unit mounted on electric three-wheelers, addressing sustainability in cold-chain logistics.
Shreya Shenoy and Moksha V S, BE students from Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and co-founders of Dexes Edtech LLP, presented a school-ready, inclusive sex education curriculum grounded in evidence-based practices and focused on safety & inclusivity. Interactive segments enabled peer learning, direct engagement with stakeholders and exposure to funding opportunities tailored to different stages of the startup journey, from ideation to product commercialization. By connecting entrepreneurs with relevant networks, mentors and resources, Pitstop Series 3 reaffirmed the power of collaborative platforms in advancing innovation and impact-led entrepreneurship across sectors.
