News from KSHEMA | A workshop titled ‘Introduction to Robotic Surgery: Prerequisites, Systems, Advantages & Disadvantages.’

On 2nd January 2026, Incīsiō: The Surgical Club of KS Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) hosted a workshop titled ‘Introduction to Robotic Surgery: Prerequisites, Systems, Advantages & Disadvantages.’ Dr. Arjun K Nambiar, Urology Surgeon from the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, UK led the session. This event held at Chintana Hall, Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital was attended by 61 MBBS students. The session provided a structured overview of global robotic systems, training curricula and the clinical workflow required for surgical precision.
