Nitte Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH) hosted an interactive session under the industry-academia collaboration on 9th January 2026 to enhance awareness and practical knowledge of assistive devices used in post-laryngectomy rehabilitation. Mr. K N Vijayan, Marketing Head (South), Shreyaas Health Care Products Private Limited, served as the resource person for the session on ‘Demonstration of laryngectomy-related accessories’.
The session included demonstrations of various accessories of Blom Singer such as voice prostheses, heat and moisture exchangers (HMEs), stoma care products and adhesive systems. The indications, usage techniques, maintenance procedures and patient counselling aspects were discussed in detail. Students and faculty of NISH actively participated in the session.
