News from NUINS | World Environment Day

The Alumni Association of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS) celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 at the college with the objective of creating awareness about environmental conservation and encouraging tree planting for a greener and healthier environment.

A tree plantation drive was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, along with Dr. Suchitra B S, Alumni Secretary and alumni members. Saplings were planted across the campus, symbolising a shared commitment towards environmental sustainability and ecological responsibility.

The event aligned with Sustainable Development Goals SDG Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG Goal 13: Climate Action.
