News from NICO | Transforming Research Ecosystems: Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems, AI Tools, Research Writing and Grant Mobilisation

The Research Cell of Nitte Institute of Communication, in association with the Staff Development Centre, Nitte University, organised a six-day Faculty Development Program titled “Transforming Research Ecosystems: Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems, AI Tools, Research Writing and Grant Mobilisation” from 29th June to 4th July 2026 The program was designed for teaching faculty and research scholars from Arts, Humanities, Management and Commerce to strengthen research capabilities through contemporary tools and interdisciplinary approaches. The sessions were delivered by Dr. Balasubramanian A, Dr. Sneha Nayak, Prof. Sudhir Raj, Ms. Reshma Kolar and Dr. S. Dinesh Babu, who shared their expertise in qualitative research, social network analysis, bibliometric data synthesis, reference management, plagiarism awareness, Indian Knowledge Systems, statistical analysis, AI-assisted research writing and grant proposal development. Through interactive lectures and hands-on activities, the FDP equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills to enhance the quality, impact and sustainability of their academic research.
