Faculty members from NUCSER visited Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services on 4th May 2026 as part of an academic exchange and experiential learning initiative focused on culinary science and hospitality practices. The visit provided an engaging platform for interaction, collaboration and practical exposure to professional culinary techniques.
Principal, Chef Dr. Dhiraj Pathak introduced the institution, shared insights into the college’s academic & training activities and personally guided the team through the campus facilities.
A key highlight of the visit was the hands-on culinary session conducted by the faculty, Mr Shreeharsha, on pizza and cookie preparation. Along with demonstrating the techniques involved, the chef also explained the science behind dough preparation, fermentation, baking processes, texture development and ingredient functionality, making the session informative and interactive.
The interaction also explored opportunities for NUCSER’s Department of Food Safety & Nutrition to collaborate in areas such as food product development, culinary science, food safety, research, workshops and skill-based training programs.
