The Medical Education Unit of KSHEMA conducted a two-day Hands-on Workshop on Clinical and Translational Metabolomics for students, teachers, researchers, clinicians & industrialists at KS Hegde Medical Academy on 21st & 22nd April 2026, across two batches.
A total of 24 participants actively took part in the workshop. The key topics discussed were Introduction to Metabolomics, Basics of MS-based Metabolomics, Sample Preparation Strategies, Basics of LC-MS / MS & Metabolomics Instruments, Sample Preparation & Data Acquisition, Introduction to Metabolomics Data Analysis, Repositories, Tools and Databases, Targeted Metabolomics, Targeted Metabolomics data analysis and Untargeted Metabolomics data analysis.
Special events and awards were organized for the Mini-Grant Idea and e-poster competitions to promote and enhance conceptual understanding.
