Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy organized the Orientation Program to welcome the newly admitted Bachelor of Physiotherapy students on 3rd August 2026. The program aimed to familiarize students and their parents with the institution, faculty, academic environment and the professional journey ahead.
Ms. Sameena Manna introduced the objectives of the orientation program followed by an invocation by Ms. Kavya Bhat. Prof. (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar K U delivered the welcome address and encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities provided by the institution and wished them success in their academic journey.
Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr) M S Moodithaya, Vice Chancellor, Nitte DU motivated the students by emphasizing professionalism, ethical practice, dedication and the importance of lifelong learning in the healthcare profession. Presiding Officer, Prof. (Dr) M Shantharam Shetty highlighted the values of discipline, compassion, commitment and continuous learning as essential qualities for becoming a competent physiotherapist. The program concluded with the vote of thanks, delivered by Mr. Hemanth Kumar R.
Post-lunch, a Mentor-Mentee meeting was conducted, where the newly admitted students met their faculty mentors who explained the mentoring system, discussed academic expectations and addressed the students' initial questions and concerns.
